I thought I would share the pictures I took of Sami's toe. Its her right foot big toe and the nail is coming out on the tip of her toe. It does hurt her but she seems to be ignoring it until it really hurts, the doctors are going to go in and do surgery on January 11, 2010. At first it was just with gunk coming out of the slit where her toe nail should be but then we noticed a bloody scab on the tip of her toe, and it was the nail that broke through all her skin and came out on the other end. So we are praying that they just need to remove some of the extra skin and can leave her nail, if not then they are removing her toenail and nail bed and she will not have a nail on that toe ever again. So please pray that all goes well for her.
Where you can kind of see the scab is where her nail is coming out of, and the slit on the top is where it should be, so the extra skin on the top is where the doctors are concerned.
